If you have our quilt book, Country Girl Modern, Â you might recognize this quilt…..Bohemian Rhapsody. Â It’s been a favorite quilt of both Kelli and I.
Well over the summer a couple different blog readers had sent us fabric. Â Each time I set anything that was colored in yellows, peaches and greens into a box with the intention of trying out this same pattern in another color way.
This fall we finally got the quilt made. Â I love it.
In the original color way we’ve always loved the quilt….This looks great too all completely scrappy.
I tried out a new quilting motif.  I found the “Bauble” design in  Step-by-Step Free-Motion Quilting: Turn 9 Simple Shapes into 80+ Distinctive Designs Best-selling author of First Steps to Free-Motion Quilting.  It’s my favorite machine quilting book.  I highly recommend it.
I took the “Bauble” and added a ribbon to it to make it edge to edge. Â I ended up really liking it. Â The design is a little whimsy.
It was fun to make the quilt with a little more traditional fabrics. Â In the book we wrote the directions with yardage cuts. Â This time around we did it completely scrappy.
This quilt doesn’t have a home yet. Â Right now we’ll probably keep it with our quilts that we take when we go out and talk about quilting…but someday, it will more on to a charity donation.
If you’re interested in the pattern you can find it in our book. Â To purchase an autographed copy, follow this link.
Today we’re sharing our finished quilt at  Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Crazy Mom Quilts, and Link a Finish Friday.  I’ve been really busy this week so stop back this evening and check out the charity quilt that I finished up.
It looks awesome! I especially like your quilt inspector — he looks very pleased with the quilt.
Very cool design, I love the way there is something different to look at each time I look at it!
