A week or so ago my cousin called me about my Aunt’s 100 birthday that is coming up. They wanted to make a back drop of sorts and put a stool in front of it so she can sit there.
Here’s it on the machine.
My Aunt Agnes made MANY-MANY quilts in her life. Most of them were for Lutheran World Relief.
The piece I quilted was quilting themed. Here it is done….
I know she doesn’t like quilting over words so I didn’t quilt over the words. That left me having to do some pretty dense quilting in between the words.
I know that some of you are going to ask for the some info about the fabric..it’s so cute. I asked and they said it came from River City Quilts in Mankato, MN. My cousin said she also saw the fabric at the quilt shop in Zumbrota, All in Stitches.
I’m really happy with how it came out. Â
I ended up putting it in the mail on Monday…I’m hoping they have plenty of time to get it bound before the party on Sunday. I’ll be sure to take some pictures there so you can see it all finished.
What a great idea for the party and you’ve quilted it beautifully!
That is really neat!
