I have tried to limit my quilt book consumption….I confess, I haven’t been doing very good. In fact, I’m doing bad. I purchased Kim Diehl’s new book, Simple Graces.
I love the book! You can go to Amazon and check it out. There are pictures of all the projects in the book…I LOVE that. Many of the quilt book authors are doing that now.
If you are loving wool, like I have been lately, there are several wool projects in the book that can either be done in wool or cotton appliqué. I really have my eye on a couple of them. Another thing I love about the book is that many of the projects coordinate….some are simple, like a kitchen towel applique, some are more time consuming like quilts. It’s an awesome mixture.
I typically don’t have a lot of time to do hand stitching project besides my English paper piecing. I am so excited to try out stitching with my machine and the wool Aurifil thread…I cut out a small test project last night and hope to try the thread tonight. If this works, look out wool, here I come.

You my gosh you are going to love every page of that book. Best purchase ever! I started “Bittersweet Briar,” in cottons, so wish I would’ve done it in wool because it’s stunning!! You should do it in wool so I can live vicariously through your blog! LOL!
I, too, want this book. i love Kim. It is on my Christmas list.
I thought her using french knots for the mini frame pictures were fantastic too! Oh yes…I have all her books and LOVE EM!
This book is on my list too! I have all of hers so far. YUM@
That book is on my birthday list, and it’s mainly because of the photos that Amazon puts up there now. Enjoy your time spent with a new quilt book – a nice, simple joy!
I also just purchased this book…LOVE it! I love all of Kim’s books. She has a way with fabrics and design.
That particular one is calling to me! 8-))
