A Little Book News: Sneak Peak!!

Some of you might not know but we have a new collaboration book coming out soon with C & T Publishing.  We’re really excited about it.

Authors were given a guideline for designing and it kind of went like this.  Take an quilt block.  Design a quilt.  Then make variations.  All should use fat quarters.  Make up to six variations.  Well that’s exactly what we did.  This was all happening last fall when we were in the thick of things with the house renovations so lucky for us we didn’t have to make all of the variations…just the original quilt.

We have just recently gotten a few sneak peaks at the book.

Here is our original quilt….We decided to go with a turn and dash block.  It’s classic but can be made a little more jazzy too.
We need a wedding quilt in a couple weeks so I was trying to figure out what to make.  I immediately thought to make one of the variations…and that’s exactly what I’m working on here in the picture.

This quilt has the least amount of variations.  Our other quilts have much more and are really fun.  Work on this quilt top was a joint effort between Kelli and I.  We found some fun fall themed fat quarters when sorting fabrics in the quilting room and thought they would work perfectly…so far, so good.  Sitting down to sew on this was our treat after getting the quilting room cleaned.
