A Friday Finish (times 3)

Kelli came home for a little sewing fest yesterday and today.  She is fulfilling my dream of wanting to stay home and sew all day with no cooking.  She’s doing the cooking and sewing with me for my birthday present.  Yep, today is my birthday.

Here is what we accomplished today…

There are three “Tag-Along” totes.  We made them with left over fabric from our Moda Bake Shop projects, Pet Mesh Bags and School Spirit quilt.  The fabric line is “Mama Said Sew”.

The inside of the bag features a pocket and zip close pocket.

I love the bag.  We made one for me, one for Kelli and one for a friend.  I think I just might make another one for me.   The bags are perfect for holding a wool project, punchneedle project or hexies.  I do all three of those type of projects so now I am wondering if I just might make myself two more.  They are sure to be handy.  I am debating about doing one in wool and then doing some fun crazy quilt type embroidery on the bag….I’ll have to see what time allows.  For now I am so happy to just have these made.

If you are looking for the pattern it’s a This & That pattern.  You can find it here.

Love the bags and that you got to bond with your babies on your birthday – no better gift.

  2. Well Happy Birthday. I’m glad you got to spend it doing what you like. That’s always the bestest kind of birthday. And the bags are super cute! Merry Christmas!

  3. Happy Birthday Jo-hope you have a wonderful day with you kids and sewing! So glad we got to meet in Oct. It was so much fun getting to know you at Country Threads. Sorry I haven’t written since…had to move Dad to a “more care” assisted living facility. Been kind of time consuming etc. Hope you have a good day.

  4. Congratulations on your birthday! It’s nice to be able to just sew for the whole day and let yourself be pampered with meals you didn’t prepare yourself. Enjoy it!
    PS Love the bags!
