A post from Kelli–
Since I started quilting, I have been working to make sure that all of my family members have quilts to keep them warm. One of the best parts of getting married is getting more family–and more people to give quilts to. I started out with making Jason’s parents a quilt for Christmas a few years ago. When Jason’s sister graduated, she then got a quilt. When his brother got married, I gifted them with a quilt. This past February, I gave his Grandma–you guessed it a quilt.
One person that I hadn’t made a quilt yet for was his sister Megan. I decided this year to make her one for a Christmas gift. Mom designed this quilt a while ago and I have always loved it.
I also decided to try to get Puppy to pose with it. She doesn’t do quite as well as Ruby, but she is making progress…or she really wanted the treat that I was holding in my hand?
We don’t have the pattern quite ready for today, but we will definitely be giving it to you soon. New Year–New Pattern? Sounds great to me!
Today, we are hooking up with……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays, and Crazy Mom Quilts.
Did you see the post about our daughter Kalissa and indecision about nursing school?
I’ll be looking forward to the photo. And I hope you’ll also be including a close up picture of the quilting.
Wow, your quilt is so pretty. I gave my niece a quilt this year. I have a SIL who also quilts, so it’s not always possible for me to quilt for the family.
That is one sweet quilt! And equally sweet pooch! I would love it if you would be so kind as to link up on my blog today. I am hosting the Thank Goodness It’s Finished Friday. Please visit me at http://sewfreshquilts.blogspot.com
I know that intense “I want that treat” look. I see it frequently!!
What a wonderful quilt, love the colors and the pattern. What a little sweetie wanting for a treat!
I have GOT to find a way to get into your family! Adoption?!
Can’t wait to see the tutorial!

Kelli, I’m looking forward to the pattern, it’s very pretty and different than a lot of the patterns! Have you and your mom thought about starting up a pattern company (even a small one)? I would for sure be a customer.
Awww, Kelli, that’s such a pretty quilt! I love the pattern. It’s almost Aztec but better with those bright colours. Great job & yes, will be waiting for the pattern. :-)
