Whoop-Whoop…I finished something. It’s been awhile since I have so this is extra sweet even though it’s only a small project.
It’s my Quilt Square Quilt Along block for August.
This time around I just used a piece of flannel for the backing. I’ve wanted to that but haven’t and I am SO glad I did!! I like it best with the flannel.
Feel free to send your block to me at rogjok@iowatelecom.net. I am thinking everyone is busy this month as I don’t have ANY blocks in yet….you know fewer block increases you chances of winning so get them in!!
Today I hooking up with Confession of a Scrap Addict.
I have been working on mine but will link up to your site. So far I’ve done this one, the star in the middle from last month and working on the other star one this weekend. Then I want to go back and do the applique from the first set….
I love how your block came out. The blue and brown is lovely.
Oh, it is sweet!
Love it, Jo! I need to get pics of mine. Got it done, plus I have last months that I finished just a little late. I have all my flimsy squares wrapped around a paper towel insert. The girls at the LQS love to see each and every new addition. Of course, they want to lay them all out each time. I stil am not sure what I will do with them, but I’ll figure that out later. Nice job on yours, as usual.

I haven’t used flannel yet for a backing. Now that we’re in Colorado, though, I’ll have to try that out – the extra warmth and coziness will probably be welcome!
This is such a pretty little quilt. There is just something indefinable about that block that is so very satisfying.
Beautiful block, and I love using flannel for backing – it makes a quilt so nice and cozy!! Whoop whoop!!
