I finished up one of my Quilt Square Quilt Along blocks…
I was hoping to get all three of them done, but alas…someone changed my “plan of the day”. Â I am loving the binding. Â I typically use dark colors for binding so this was a little “out of my box”.
I just quilted in a cross hatch…simple, but it worked.
Stop back later today and I’ll announce the winners of the March Quilt Square Quilt Along giveaway. Â Just a reminder, I have the “Stitched for Fun” giveaway going on..hop on over to enter. Â Don’t forget to go over to Crazy Mom Quilts and check to see what projects others were able to finish.
I like your block and I really like the binding. Next week I will get busy with the next two. I am following your daughters suggestion to use some of them as candle mats….adding a candle along with the mat as a Christmas gift or thank you gift. Thanks for the time you put into this to encourage all of us with this small fun project.
VERY sweet!! Love it! And you are right the binding makes it sing!

I, too, typically use a dark binding, but the light binding looks terrific!
The lighter binding does make it pop! Thanks for sharing – I learn so much from this blog!!
I love the binding. I have that fabric, but never would have thought of binding with it. I’m thinking about it now. I have an almost-finished Civil War quilt that would look fabulous with that as a binding. Thanks! Kathy
Another great looking block. Love the colors.Nice job!
I too love the binding! Is it a checked fabric?
Very nice!
