For those of you who don’t know, I host a monthly quilt square quilt along. Â You can read more about it here.
Last night I decided it was time to finish up my Quilt Square Quilt Along blocks for March.
For some reason, I wasn’t as excited about this design as I was about the designs we did in the previous months. Â The blocks just seemed a little plain…then I put on the binding and WOW!! Â My opinion has changed.
There is something about that binding that really made the block POP! Â I have said time and time again that I love diagonal prints for binding projects.
I am going to be hunting for more diagonal prints….FOR SURE!!
I have been working on my block for April…I think you’re going to love it.
Here’s a little update to the schedule for the Quilt Square Quilt Along. I will gone the last weekend of the month at a quilt retreat. Â That means I won’t be here to manage the incoming blocks. Â Because of that, I am delaying the reveal to Wednesday, April 4th. Â I will have a blog post up on March 31st showing you the new April block so those of you who are not procrastinators can start working on your block. Â Sorry for the confusion but that’s life here at the Junction.
I have a couple quilt book giveaways going on that you might want to check out...one here..and one  here.
If you want to see what others are working on head over to Crazy Mom Quilts, Cindy Lou Who and Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
Hi, I agree that bindings with stripes on diagonal add to the quilt. As I look around here at my own I see lots of stripes in bindings. Your mini is adorable.
Those both came out great! I really need to pull my fabrics and get started on this months block. Love the binding. Enjoy your quilt retreat.
Your blocks look great, Jo! You’re right, the binding really does make them sing. Looking forward to the April block! Have a Quilty Day!
Love your color choices! And I agree about binding. I just put my binding on last night and need to do the hand sewing – will get a picture off to you soon. Have a wonderful retreat – love retreats!
I really like how these came out – and knowing you and your liking of patriotic prints, that block is your fave! Enjoy your quilt retreat!
