Martingale and Company sent me some goodies to keep or share with you…Lucky you, I am sharing and not keeping. So, do you have a calendar yet? I already have what I need so I though I would show you these two beauties and give you a chance to win them.
The one to the left is That Patchwork Place Quilt Calendar 2012. The one of the right, 2012 Calendar Award-Winning Quilts. Both of the calendars have a eyelet for reinforcement when hanging. I love that option. Last year friends had gave me a calendar that didn’t have a reinforcement and it was constantly ripping and I was always taping it.
The 2012 Calendar Award-Winning Quilts features amazing artsy quilts from the International Quilt Association. The quilts are VERY detailed and amazing to view. These quilts are all WAY beyond any quilts that I will ever make as many feature applique and intricate details. Here’s a view of the quilt from January..
…and here’s one from September. See what I mean? AMAZING.
Each of the calendars have large places to write appointments, birthdays, holidays and other events in. The quilts featured for each of the months all represent colors and themes of the months. For example here a quilt from June. Those butterflies beautifully represent summer.
The other calendar, That Patchwork Place Quilt Calendar 2012, is my favorite one. This calendar has quilts that I would make in it…quilts that I would easily make because the patterns are include..
Yep, patterns included, see?
I love this snail’s trail quilt on January’s pages.
Here’s a Kim Diehl quilt on the October page….
The graphics from the quilt are taken and extended onto the calendar page. It looks so nice.
All of the calendar pages are beautiful. It’s neat that the patterns are included in this calendar. Someone more ambitious than I am could make the quilts for each months and have a beautiful set of quilts to decorate their home.
Each calendar is a treasure…I was oh so tempted to keep one, but I bought a calendar back in December and wrote all our birthdays and events on it…and I really don’t need two calendars.
Do any of you need or want a calendar? You can win one of these by leaving a comment telling me what event are you most excited to write on the calendar if you win it? I’ll pick TWO winners on Tuesday. The first name chosen will get their choice of calendar and the second name drawn will get the other calendar.
It would be so exciting to write I WON since all I have ever won in my life is a hamburger from Sonic. Shirley
Thank you for the chance to win one of your beautiful calendars. Our calendars are usually full of reminders but the two most important dates this year are my son’s graduation from college in May and the date my book hits the shelves in September.
I’m not so much a calendar-writer, since everything goes into my electronic daytimer, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to look up and see the month at a glance, not to mention the lovely quilts that continue to inspire. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
I haven’t got my 2012 calendar yet, so this would be an awesome win. I love quilt calendars or recipe calendars. I hope I win. Actually I hope I entered this on time.
My two favourite things to write on the calendar are the Heritage Park Festival of Quilts and the Central Alberta Quilt Show since they are events I share every year with my BFF!
I’d be most excited about noting my Dad’s 92nd birthday in one of these gorgeous calendars. thanks for the chance to win.
I would love to win a calendar. I would post birthdays and anniversarys and also guild meeting dates.
Would love some quilt inspirition thru the year – even if it’s beyond my current ability – but one can aspire….
Well – for important dates – my oldest son will graduate from high school this year….gotta have that date on a calendar.
I would love to win a calendar – I need one to hang at work. Thanks for the oppportunity to win!
Somehow I missed getting a calendar before the new year began. Already I am writing dates on pieces of paper. The big date for us in 2012 is the day in May when my youngest son and fiance will marry. It will be here before we know it!
We are traveling so I would write where we are on that particular date and any sightseeing we are doing. I also would write down the quilt shops I visited and any quilt shows I got to see. That’s very nice of you to give these calendars away. They are beautiful!!!
I would mark the date we are going to leave for a spring vacation. We are planning a cruise to celebrate some much needed time away.
FIRST I would mark all the quilt functions I plan on attending this year! Most importantly Quilt Wyoming 2012 to be held in Sheridan WY in July organized by the North Eastern Wyoming membership.
I would use it as my ‘social’ calendar…ha!, ha!. Birdthdays, anniversaries, doctor appointments, church activities, quilting activities, everything!
The first thing I always write in calendars are work holidays so I know when I’ ll have some bonus time to knit, quilt, embroider, etc.
The first date getting written in would be my oldest daughter’s HS graduation!!! So excited! Thanks for your giveaway generosity!
the first thing I would write on mine is our youngest grandson’s birthday! coming up fast!!
The first thing I write are school vacations…
I would love one of those!! I would write in all of my family members birthdays! Then my quilting activities!
What makes me most happy is that I do write down upcoming events on a calendar. Makes me feel like I am organised and then planning on attending some fun functions. With the quilt patterns being offered too would be a major PLUS!
No 2012 calendar for me yet, this would be great. Love that it includes great quilt patterns. My oldest granddaughter graduates from high school this year, that would go on first.
I am excited to add by parents 70th wedding anniversary in Sept. It will be a family event to celebrate!
Either my trip in March to NYC to visit my kids and grand puppy or my summer trip to Georgia to visit my sister.
I would definitely write in when I’m going on quilt retreat AND when I’m going on my cruise later this spring.
Nothing exciting to write on a calendar yet…but the year is still young!! Thanks for the opportunity.
I am excited to see my Dad in June after 4 years since he lives on another continent! He will finally see my husband and his grandchildren!
My most important dates are for the Australia Machine Quilting Festival – 28th Septmeber 2012 till 1st October 2012. Sew exciting – I am booked in to do a day’s seminar with Ricky Tims. Thanks for the chance, Dianne
I would use one of these beautiful calendars to track my work hours so I can be sure my paycheck is correct. And I look forward to having something much more fun to track, as well.
The Neil Diamond concert we’ve gotten tickets for would go first on the calendar.
The wedding of a very special nephew coming up in May!
