It is blog tour day. Â Actually it’s been blog tour week (or so). Â Kelli and I are your last stop.
We had so much fun with this project and will happily jump on board and do another if the chance arises. Â The people at C&T Publishing were great to work with.
If you’re new to the blog, I’ll say welcome. Â I’m glad you could stop by. Â My daughter Kelli and I are the creative forces around here. Â We blog typically twice a day so there is always something fun and fresh to check out. Â We have lots of free patterns that you check out. Â You can find them along the right side bar of the blog. Â We’ve had a really big year. Â In January our book Country Girl Modern came out. Â We had quilts featured in several national magazines year and we have a quilt featured in American Patchwork and Quilting 2016 calendar…PLUS, we were involved in 75 Fun Fat Quarter Quilts. Â It’s been busy….but a fun kind of busy that we enjoy.
Last fall we were contacted by Roxane at C&T and were asked if we wanted to take part in the book. Â Although we were busy, we jumped at the chance. Â We were asked to design a quilt and then provide variations. Â It was a fun design concept.
Our first project was Kim’s Deal. That’s our beagle Ruby is showing off.
Here’s a flat out layout.
We made six variations on the design including Miss Molly…..read more about it here.
and X Marks the Spot. Â Read more about it here.
We have plans to make the rest of the quilts we designed for the book. Â You’ll have to keep following the blog to catch them as we make them.
Thanks so much for stopping by on this last stop of the blog tour.  Make sure you didn’t miss a stop because at each blog you have a chance to win a free copy of  75 Fun Fat-Quarter Quilts .  A US winner will receive a hard copy; an international winner will receive an ebook.  How awesome if that?!

MERRY CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS!!
I’m with you with the red. I don’t care if it’s with cream, white, brown, blue, purple, black or all of the above. Merry Christmas
Currently loving navy, mint green, coral and white. Thanks for the chance and Merry Christmas!
mine is red to, some day i want to make a red and white quilt
My favorites are teal and gray.
I like pinks and reds with white–but I also like lots of bright colors with a dark background.
I love your quilts. Congratulations on your inclusion in the book. My favorite color is red and I love it combined with most colors–just have to have the red in there.
Merry Christmas!
Such fun quilts! My go to color is red with blues and browns coming in second. Merry Christmas to you and Kelli and your families.
love your posts my favorite colors pinks and purples
My favourite combinations are lime green and purple but also navy and mustard.
I’ve been making a bunch of pink and white little girl charity quilts lately.
I’m drawn to purples for sure but lately I’m loving aqua and coral like in Moda’s newer release, Canyon.
I like blues and browns together. Guess that’s why I’m a fan of civil war reproduction fabrics.
This year I’ve sewn a lot with teals. I did a Bonnie Hunter teal and black/white Strip Twist and I also did a BOM where we could only use two colors in our blocks. I chose teal and chartreuse. They turned out great! I can’t wait to put the BOM blocks together after the holidays!
I love anything with blue and green in it, or red, or yellow, or purple, or black, or aqua, or, or, or. . . .
I love oranges and pinks. Thanks for more great quilt patterns. Merry Christmas! kathleendotlutzatcomcastdotnet
It’s amazing how one block can look so different by changing the color locations! Kelli and you are so creative! Thanks for sharing on your blog. It’s a twice a day read for me! With Christmas approaching I’m drawn to blue and white – a little snow on the ground against a clear blue sky. Delightful!
I really like black in quilts. I enjoy your blog.
.
For a two color quilt – I love red and white….right now I seem to be drawn to greys with lime green Merry Christmas and thank you for this opportunity.
I like a bit of orange and yellow in my quilts.
All things blue and shades of blue, Blue will go with any other color
Love your blog and fell like I know you and your family
I like pure primary colors, not muddy.
Being a new quilter, I don’t have a favorite color palette yet. I DO like using fabrics that are bright and happy looking…so…does that answer your question?
Red is also my favorite. I like to team it with most combinations, especially neutrals, black, blues. Thanks for the giveaway. I need the book to go with all the fat quarters I have in my (small) stash. I buy lots of FQs!
Red is my favorite and I mix it with polka dots. I’ve had so much fun mixing the two.. Thank you for the giveaway.
I love blue, but most of my quilts are scrappy, so I don’t have a specific color combination!
I love the concept of your design and variations! So much variety from one design. I don’t have one favorite color to sew with, but I have used a lot of neutrals lately, and I’ve also – separately – used a lot of orange. And now I’m tired of orange!
I forgot that I was supposed to say the colours that I am loving to work with at the moment. For me it is turquoise plus one other colour. Have paired turquoise with purples, pinks, and greens and browns. Seems to work well with a variety of colours.
Absolutely LOVE your quilt! I love to work with blues (and most any color for that matter).
I haven’t sewn with it yet, but I love pink and gray together. I am just waiting to find the perfect pattern for a quilt in those colors.
Red and cream! Love it. Merry Christmas!
Blue and white is my all time favorite combination. I’ve used royal and navy the most. Belated Happy Birthday, Jo!
Redredred!
It’s a great book–congrats!
Mine is pink or red.
Thank you for the giveaway — I sure enjoy your blog. It’s hard to say what colors I like best, but this year, the quilts I enjoyed most were mink, black, and white or gray, navy and coral.
I love how different each variation looks. I wish more designers would show a variety of options for their patterns. My favourite colours to work with are red or aqua. Thanks for the opportunity!
Red, blue, green, and yellow are definitely my favorites.
my color combos change frequently but I am especially found of fall colors with a blue accent – like colorful leaves with a lake or blue sky
My favorite is scraps! A touch of red, maybe some brown, no blue, well you see what happens!
clear, bright colors… Aqua and Yellow most often!
My favorite color combination is predominantly cool colors with a touch of warm.
I like red too, especially at this time of year! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I love black! All colors look brighter and more vibrant against black. Love your quilt and the variations and also just got your book for my birthday last week and love it! Thanks for the chance to win this great book!
I gravitate towards blue and green or blue, green and purple.
Green is my color. But, I have been trying to change things up and not use green. I finished up a red, white and blue quilt and a black, white and red quilt. So, maybe my new color is red?
I like working with blues, teals and greens. They are very peaceful colors to me.
Anything combined with purple – it has to be purple
I like neutrals with blues/aquas. Great book!
I like black in a quilt. I feel it grounds it. I also like slate gray, white and chartreuse together. Thanks for the chance to win!! Shopgirl7232 at yahoo dot com

Blues and purples are my favorite color combination. I love fat quarters so this book is one I would like to own. Your quilts are all beautiful.
My favorite color is lavender! Your quilts are lovely!
It’s hard to choose just one color combination that I love because I seem to have an attraction to them all! Scrappy quilts with reds, blacks and golds are beautiful! I really enjoy following your blog, thank you! I don’t know how you find the energy to accomplish everything! Merry Christmas!
