Back to the Pumpkin Patch

Here’s something fun….have you watched this show before?  I haven’t but I’m going to…at least for one episode.

Here’s the back story….

Remember back when Kelli and I were working on getting our book published?  This one?  Read about our book HERE.

Well we drove all of our quilts to the location where they were going to be photographed.  Read the blog post about that HERE.

The owner of the place puts on a pumpkin patch event for kids every fall.  Kelli and I didn’t get to meet the owner but we did get a chance to check out his farm.

Every outdoor picture of a quilt that is in the book was taken at the same farm.

Well I recently got this message from Jenifer Dick our editor:
Hey Jo! Remember the farm where we took pics for your book? The owner, Matt Moreland, was featured on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy this season! If you have Netflix it’s season 4 episode 8. It’s fun to see it on national tv! I’ve told C&T and they are going to promote it on their social media.”

Well how fun is that?  I’m finally going to see what the owner looks like.  I sent this message to our daughter Kayla who watches the show regularly and she said it was a really good episode.

So…I’m going to watch it.  If you have our book, I guess you have a silly little story you can tell about the book now too….Remember, Season 4, Episode 8.

If anyone is interested in buying our book, we still have some copies left.  If you’re interested they are $24 postage paid.  You can email me at rogjok@iowatelecom.net.

If you watch the show, you’ll have to tell me what you think.

  1. I use to watch the tv series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, but it was years ago. From what I gathered on the net, the show was filmed again with different leading men. The episode that you mentioned is from that later filming.
I do have your book. I”ll have to get it out to check out the pictures. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Love that show. They are funny and kind and really help the person on the show.

Have your book on my shelf with Bonnie Hunter’s. Just picked up a magazine from last year while at a retreat and who did I see but Jo Kramer and a quilt.

  3. I may have to watch that show. My daughters and I are having a sewing day today and are making quilts from your book. I am making Bohemian Rhapsody and my 2 girls are working on Connect Four….love your book!

  4. I love QE! They are such a kind, loving group of co-hosts, and it’s such a feel-good show. I remember that episode. Just finished watching the latest season and may have to go back and rewatch that episode.

  5. I watched the original religiously! Ted Allen from “Chopped” on food network was the food guy on then. It was a great show. I haven’t watched the new version.

  6. I have your book and enjoy reading it when I having a few moments to sit quietly. I will have to check out that episode.

  7. Technically I think it is just called Queer Eye now. We’ve watched quite a few episodes of the new season. I can’t tell you how many times I have had tears in my eyes, the stories are so wonderful.

I look forward to seeing the pumpkin patch. I’ll be sure to tell my husband about the link to Jo from Jo’s Country Junction!
