Have you seen the latest issue of American Patchwork and Quilting?? It’s a good one. First off I love the cover quilt…..
But I also love others inside…like this one. Who doesn’t love red, white and blue?? It just so happens that this is a quilt I designed and Kelli sewed.
This was a design that put together a LONG time ago. Kelli and I had thought to do a book that was completely scrappy. Then our book moved to a more modern theme and this quilt wasn’t quite modern but seeing how they have it pictured in the photograph, some of the traditional is lost.
Here is the full lay out.
The quilt turned out better than I had it originally pictured. It was a really fun project to work on. It was definitely a great way to get rid of scraps!!
Check out the latest American Patchwork and Quilting magazine at your local news stand to get the pattern.

Interested in locating a pattern/instructions for the “QuiltJessieJames2″that I saw on Flickr. I made a “modernized” disappearing 9 patch for my first grandson, and now he’s expecting a brother. So decided to make a similar quilt for him, but a little different. I really liked the photo of the one you have on flickr. I hope you an help me.
Thank you,

That’s a beautiful quilt! Great job!
Congrats on another quilt pattern published! It’s a beautiful quilt! Thanks for the heads up that the quilt magazine is on its way! I’m now looking for the arrival of my copy in a week or two.
Stars and red/white&blue aren’t usually the types of quilts that go my list of “must do” (not being an American may have something to do with that not being in my quilting DNA) but this is so appealing visually it is tempting me. Maybe I could do yellow instead? LOL
