A Post from Kelli:
I have a confession to make. When Mom and I first started talking about a quilt along for the blog this year, I wasn’t overly excited. When she suggested making the sampler quilt with Paintbox line of fabric from Laundry Basket Quilts, I got a bit more excited. When the fabric came, I was so excited that I drove up to Decorah in the middle of the week to pick up the fabric from her. And when I opened the box I was in love! Each month when I chose my fabric to make the block, my excitement is renewed. I just love how the fabrics play so well together between the prints and the batiks.
So without further ado, here is March’s block that we will be making.
It’s block number 3–Domino and Square variation. This is the only block that we will be making this month. In the future, there will be a few months where we will be making 2 blocks or piecing the setting triangles, but this month we will only be making Block 3. When mom sent me the blocks that you all have made this month, I was amazed. I love seeing different color ways and different color layouts.
Here is Melody’s block.
Come back later today and check out the prizes for those of you who are quilting along with us! You can also link up below to show off your block on your blog. If you want to share your block and need help contact Jo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
