The truth. I’m working on our house. I have to say I have been stealing a few minutes here and there to work on the mystery quilt. In the morning while I am waiting for the water for my tea to heat up I’ve been sewing….for 10 minutes before bed, I’ve been sewing. I am actually amazed with how much time that actually equals as I’ve gotten a few blocks finished.
Tuesday through Friday I’ve been painting at the new house. Over the weekend Saturday and Sunday I spent laying flooring at the new house. Can you believe that on Saturday I had over 15,000 steps in on my Fitbit and on Sunday I had over 11,000 steps in. None of those steps were done “for excercise”. All of them were simply from working. I had to laugh when I looked at my Fitbit stats. Only 6 minutes each day were considered “active”. I was sweating both days. Trust me makers of Fitbit, I was active!!! Down on the floor then up and hauling around a HEAVY nail gun. I was active! ..and all that “activity” left me with no sewing time.
I did manage to get six blocks together.
More pieces are sewn together..but there are just 6 complete blocks. That’s okay though. There will sewing time in future days. I am so happy that I was able to get all the parts of the mystery sewn. I can assemble things in days to come. Hopefully once February hits I’ll find a little more sewing time. In the meantime before we move I’ll be sneaking in a few minutes here and there and hopefully I’ll get a few more blocks sewn.
As much as I miss sewing…I love the work at the house. I really like physical labor.
Today it will be more painting time..unless the snowstorm that we’re suppose to get stops me from getting in to town. If that hits, then it will be a packing day…either way it’s a “house” work day.
