If you read an earlier post you know that Kelli and I visited Lou Ann’s Quilt Garden and Retreat in Oelwein. Â We had a fun time and really enjoyed Lou Ann’s hospitality and the goodies she had in the shop. Â I wrote a post earlier about the visit. Â (find that post here)
You might remember that I liked this quilt that was shown in the window.
Well I caved and bought the goodies to make the quilt. Â I bought the fabric, layer cake and even the book with the directions. The book was great. Â It had lots of patterns that I can imagine making. Â I’ve had other books by the author and have liked them as well. Â Here’s a link to the book Scrap-Basket Strips and Squares. Â The book has all sorts of different projects. There are baby quilt sized projects to bigger lap sized quilts.
Kelli is into the adult coloring books so she sqealed when she saw this The Farmer’s Wife Sampler Quilt Coloring Book: Color 70 Classic Quilt Designs from Your Favorite Sampler Collection. Â Here’s a sample page..kind of cute, right??
That’s our fun for the next bit. Â I probably should have refrained from my purchases but sometimes it’s just fun to have something new and fun on the sewing horizon. Â It’s been a bit since I got something for an entirely new project including quilt book and all.
