Shop Tour: The Quiltmaker’s Shoppe

Just a few weeks ago I was at the “The Quiltmaker’s Shoppe” in Manchester, Iowa.  I thought I would take some pictures and share them with you.  They have a great section of Kansas Troubles goodies.

I thought this quilt was especially neat.

I had to give a little smile when I saw my cousin Gladie’s patterns displayed for sale.  She makes some really cute patterns.  She takes a design and them make it in small, medium and large size.  Keep in mind her “large” is still pretty small.

There were lots of cute fall looking goodies.

This stitched design was a favorite of mine.

If you are an Iowa college fan, they had these cute quilts on display along with patterns.

I would have liked more time to check out this pinwheel book.  I just love pinwheels.

Isn’t this tumbling block quilt cute??  I was told that the author of the book had recently taught at the shop.

Sadly I didn’t get more pictures taken.  I started chatting with the people in the shop and completely forgot I was taking pictures.  (It’s a hazard of my job.)

If you haven’t been to the quilt shop in Manchester, it’s one that you are sure to find some goodies at…and you’ll find a very happy welcome…something that I really appreciate.

thanks for the shop tour Jo! i see several books and quilts that look really yummy. .

In the 4th photo down, isn’t that just the cutest pumpkin basket at the bottom left of the quilt?
ALERT, ALERT! if there’s not a pattern for it already, i’ll bet someone in the shop could make a pattern, develop a class, and sell quite a few kits of that before October!

I grew up in the Manchester area and visit that shop now and then when visiting my mother. Looks like I need to stop in again. The ABC 3-D book looks like it has interesting projects, maybe with some simplified math. Thanks for the shop tour :)

    Hi Jo,
Do you know the name of that pattern above that is the 2nd one from the top of this page….green background with large background star and center flower. Where can I buy this?
It does not appear that The Quiltmaker’s Shoppe has on line ordereing.
    Thanks, it just struck me.
