A post from Kelli…
Each year when Bonnie announces her Mystery Quilt Along, I contemplate participating. Last year I even started and was able to stick it out for the first three steps. I got busy in December and because I got behind, I just quit. This year, I really wanted to finish the quilt, mostly because mom kept teasing me about it. I got a bit behind towards the end of December, but really pushed myself to get caught up prior to the big reveal yesterday morning. All along, Bonnie said that this was going to be an easy quilt, thus the name Easy Street. When I saw the big reveal, I was in love, but after a bit of time with my seam ripper, I realized that I needed to be very careful about sewing the blocks together. After finally getting a system down, I was able to finish the blocks last night and got the whole quilt put together tonight.
The picture isn’t the best, but as my parents decided to give me the short genes, I wasn’t able to get quite high enough in my little sewing room to get a good picture of my quilt, but stay tuned. I like this one so much that I am hoping to get the borders added and quilt it fairly soon!
Good job. Easy Street is so pretty. You are fast. Tonight I finished Step 7. Going on to bed soon. I will start Step 8 tomorrow, Then I will post on my blog.
Stunning! I love your colors. I have a top that needs quilting for a gift. As soon as i get that i’m back on Easy Street. I have to put my blocks together.
Love it! The colors go so good together!
Fantastic quilt! I’m behind but hope to get my 2, 3, & 5 steps finished and then the big finish. I love your quilt!

I really like your version of Easy Street, it isn’t as busy as some I’ve seen and green & pink are my favourite colours! Can’t wait to see it with borders!
I really like your version of Easy Street!
Great job! I would love to see a close up of a few squares to see the colors you used. It looks fabulous!
It looks great! It makes me want to go home and finish mine!!!
So pretty. Great job. I’m on step 7 with just the side triangles left to do and then on to the blocks.
This is beautiful. I have a couple of blocks together and on my design wall. I can’t wait to get it done. I like each of Bonnie’s mystery quilts better than the previous ones!
Beautiful job! I never got started like I wanted to but maybe someday.
You do gorgeous work – and that’s a gene to be proud of! ;-)
your quilt is comming together beautifully! like the rest i’m a bit behind in my assembly, so this is just the ‘jump start’ i needed to inspire me to keep on plugging away. thanks for sharing your quilt with us!
Great job! I love it! You really are fast. Looking forward to the final reveal!
Good job! I must say I think this is my favorite mystery that Bonnie has done so far. I got behind too with company in my house for 11 days and husband and son both off work for two weeks. I was so glad yesterday life went back to our normal routine. Routines are good sometimes.
I hope to get back to work on Easy Street soon, but it will be a while. I am moving my sewing room and getting a new to me sewing table. I’m pretty excited, but I want to paint too so I have to curb the excitement and get some work done. :)
I know what you mean about bonding with your seam ripper. LOL First block I did I had the flying geese blocks pointing the wrong way on 3 out of the 4. Your quilt looks wonderful! Maybe you’ll get back to Orca Bay now that this one is almost done.
