Now Ronda told me that this summer she wasn’t going to do much quilting as she’s on a pretty busy Grandma schedule….I believed her but then she sent this.
Isn’t it pretty??
“Just a quick note to let you know I have finished up another charity quilt. This is one I made from the prewashed jelly roll that you sent on to me from one of your blog readers ~ no name with it though. Since it was prewashed it was no longer quite 2 1/2″ wide, so I just used a scant 1/4″ seam allowance and tried to keep it as consistent as I could and it came out ok. I had purchased the backing a while back not having any quilt in mind for it, but our local quilt shop had good sale and I couldn’t pass it up. As it turned out, it was perfect for this quilt! The quilt measures 66 X 78, so is a nice lap size ~ or “nap size” as I like to call it! It will be going to the fundraiser for FOP (along with a larger bed sized quilt that I shared with you previously). Thanks so much for passing the jelly roll on to me!”
Didn’t the quilt turn out awesome?? Thanks so much to the blog reader that donated the pre-washed jelly roll. I am sure at the time the reader washed it she was frustrated with the results…but look! Ronda turned it into an awesome quilt.
Catch us back next week. I already have the information about the next quilt that will be featured.
P.S. Ronda had sent this to me but for some reason, it didn’t show up in my inbox….or any other email boxes. If you ever send a note and I don’t get back to you, please resend a note. My email can be a little glitchy.
