Can You Help??

image_pdfimage_print

Hubby and I are planning a car trip coming up.  I don’t have anything to pin or work on in the car so I thought I would revive my hexie project.

I sorted and counted checking to see how many I have done and how many I need to do.  It’s been about two years since I touched this so I honestly had no idea what I need to make or what my progress is.

As I sorted and counted, I came across this…One hexie is missing.  UGH.  I sorted and looked and looked and sorted.  I can’t find the missing hexie.

PaperPiecing

UGH.  I went through all this work just to be one hexie short.  If all else fails I think I’ll just try to find something close but before I do that, I thought I’d ask…Do any of you have a 2 1/2″ square of this green fabric??  Would you be so kind to give it to me??

I have no idea what it is but for some reason I think it’s a Jo Morton print.  Any help anyone??

I have some of that very fabric and it in the mail :) Btw, from the look of that cutting mat underneath your hexies, you need a need mat! A new cutting mat is like a new rotary blade, you just can’t believe the difference it makes nor why you waited so long to replace it, IMHO ;)

oops…I will DROP it in the mail ;-)

Yikes! I don’t have that print myself, but I’m hoping someone does. If that doesn’t work, use something that’s similar. It’ll give the blocks more character. :-)

Wow, I did the same thing, except it was on a lonestar that I was hand piecing – started it back in 1987 when I was totally clueless about quilting and I was using scissors and a cardboard template. Got to the last point of the star to find that I was 1 diamond short in the final row of three. As of this moment, I haven’t a clue where that unfinished star is! I put it away, moved twice and didn’t pick up quilting again until 2008. I’m so glad it looks like someone has what you need!

If this is the project you take to work on in car, could it be under the car seat?
Glad Cheire has same for you.

I should have read the comments before I went looking through my stash! But I got to revisit some things I haven’t seen for awhile! Glad Cheire can help you!

  7. Sorry – can’t help with the fabric. But aren’t hexies wonderful for road trips? Our road trip this morning was only an hour long, but I got several hexies basted. Certainly several more based than I would have had I not grabbed my hexie box. ;-)
