A Happy Event: The Persian Pickle Club

Have any of you read the book the Persian Pickle Club by Sandra Dallas??

It’s a book I have long loved.  In fact it would be on my list of more favorite books.   I just found out that they are making it into a movie!!

I hope it can be successful enough that it makes it’s way to my theater!  If not I’ll be watching via Netflixs or Instant Download from Amazon.

The book takes place during the dust bowl and the center theme around everything that happens is the Persian Pickle Club.  They are a group of ladies who all have or are making quilts that have the same paisley fabric in them.  Bones are found in a field..there is a mystery to be solved….depression time, quilting and a little mystery.  It’s a winner for sure!!

Here is the Kindle version The Persian Pickle Club and here is the book version The Persian Pickle Club from Amazon.  I think I am actually going to read it again before the movie comes out.  I love comparing book and the movies…I love the prospect of good movie too!!

Yes, I’ll need to go see the movie too. Has been several years since I read the book.

Thanks for the recomendation.Always looking for a good book. My local library does not have it, but looked through the intra-library system and found it. When it’s ready, I can pick it up at my local library. I see she has several title’s. Have you read any of her other books?

Do you know when the movie will be released? That’s one I’ll definitely want to see – probably with girlfriends! Thanks for telling us about it!

I love the book, and many others by Sandra Dallas. If you haven’t ready any of her others, check them out. I think the movie is still in the early stages. Hope they can get it made.

Thanks for the review. I am just finishing up the Cobbled Court Series by Marie Bostwick and was wondering what I was going to “read” next. I listed to audio books on my way to and from work each day. I just don’t have the time to get to sit and read. But love audio books.
