I’ve been stopping at the thrift store when I’m in town but I haven’t been finding much. Kelli has even been looking for fabric for me when she stops. Over the process of three stops, I only found this.
I’m very happy with these finds but I’m so accustom to finding more that I am spoiled….really spoiled. I know it.
These were all 50 cents each. The white is pure white and it the gauze fabric that the new receiving blankets are made of. I’ll hem that up and pass it along to Kayla.
The pink fabric is almost 4 yards worth. That will come in handy for baby quilt making. Buying fabric that is solid colored has me in a love hate relationship. So often I buy different brands and then nothing matches. So I end up frustrated down the road. Hopefully there’s enough in the chunk I’ll never feel like I have to match it.
Then there are these two….The light gray is a polka dot. You know how I love polka dots. The other fabric is lobsters.
I always laugh at the combo of fabrics I find. None of these is at all the same style. Gauze to lobsters, to solids to polka dots is not the typical purchase of fabric one would get in a single buying trip.
I’m more of a buy all white based neutrals…or a buy all the same fabric from a fabric line. It’s interesting to see what I find at the thrift store.
Curious minds want to know….would you have bought these or left these at the thrift store? Remember, they were only 50 cents each.
I’ll try to pop in later today and give you an update on Ruby. As of Saturday night when I was writing this, she’s worse. She wouldn’t eat tonight…no water drinking either. She also holed up in her kennel and won’t come out. That’s a bad sign I know. As bad as it is, she’s at least making it easier for me to know what the right thing is.
A couple of you asked about her blood sugar. We checked that…it was okay at 130…slightly elevated but not near treatment level.
The vet and I talked a lot about again this afternoon. We both know it’s fair to wait until Monday to see if for some unknown reason she snaps out of it, but it’s also fair to stop her suffering. So we wait.
